We like to dream big here. If I was shopping for Morgan Stewart I would have so much fun collaborating with her. We’d gaff about fun ways to wear the newest Row sweaters with her Renggli work pants while dipping our sunglasses down on our noses like cowboys tipping their hats to a friend. We’d accidentally both wear the hardest to find Chanel ballet flats because she set the trend for them and told me before posting on her IG so I was able to get a pair before they went out of stock or only available through secret sourcing sites, and our Hermes Kelly wouldn’t be the exact same, but they’d coordinate. Because, duh.
If Morgan Stewart was my client she’d lovingly call herself my client but know that really she was my friend. She would have been all over the launch of this blog, giving me great feedback about what to improve and what I should write about. Morgan would have sent me a text after giving birth like “it’s a bitch babe, but don’t worry you’ll fit into your clothes again, but until then you’ll look fabulous.” Such a great friend.
Who is Morgan Stewart?
If you don’t know Morgan then you weren’t a part of the cool generation that watched Rich Kids of Beverly Hills on E!. You didn’t see her in the early days hanging out with her friends and keeping it fashion first always. Don’t worry the show is stll available to stream and is iconic so you don’t have to miss out.
And if you missed Morgan on Rich Kids then you hopefully caught her on Daily Pop, a pop culture and entertainment show on E! with other favorites like Carissa Culiner and Justin Sylvester. Morgan always came in with the best one-liners, the best outfits, and the best analysis of how people were wearing clothes. And then of course, if you missed those two shows you know Morgan through her social media presence (particularly on Instagram, but I’m obsessed with her TikTok game and how she just goes for it not caring what people think. TBH the only reason I have TikTok is to watch her show off her looks.) When Morgan wears a pair of baby blue Chanel ballet flats, everyone wants that pair of baby blue Chanel ballet flats. When Morgan wears the Margaux bag from The Row, all the sourcing sites like Gab Waller and The Coveted are stocking up to fulfill the Morgan Stewart request buckets. She really knows how to dress effectively. I think if I could steal one section of her wardrobe it would be (in addition to the obvious handbag collection but that feels obvious), her coats and blazers. The myriad of St. Laurent jackets and The Row coats has me drooling and adding to shopping carts I’ll never check out from or my Shop My wishlist that I hope to one day fulfill.
Ok now we’re bffs
While Morgan I’m sure has all the ins with the best SAs in the world she would rely on me to send her my top pics to add to her wardrobe. She’d try them on in her wavy mirror and mix and match them with the pieces from her line. She’d send me pictures in between running her daughter to dance and going out for the night looking absolutely incredible. We’d facetime every month to go over how she’s styling her pieces–not that she really needs my advice–but because it’s just so fun to talk about clothes!
Morgan Stewart McGraw’s Shopping List
As you must know by now I’m obsessed with Shop My. It’s an incredible resource to put together shopping lists for myself and for clients. We feature items from blog posts in special Shop My lists, and when I create a shopping list for a client it’s their private desitination to check out the pieces I think they’d love, or need. In Morgan’s case it’s probably less a matter of need and more a matter of the next great obsession, but as her psuedo/wannabe stylist I’d made sure she had the following goodies to parse through and purchase.
